The Taylor’d Prop lineup is crafted to offer various on-site training solutions without the hassle of designing and constructing large-scale facilities. The Taylor’d Prop Series offers departments a range of options, from a compact 12′ prop that fits neatly into a parking space to a two-container setup (lower 40 and upper 20) enabling third-story rappelling.
Utilizing repurposed shipping containers, the Prop Series presents a cost-effective alternative to conventional training towers, delivering a similar array of training apparatuses at a reduced cost.
Series 12
The Series 12 Prop is an ideal solution for departments with limited on-site space or those requiring mobility between locations for training purposes. Designed to fit snugly into a standard parking spot, this unit boasts over 10 training apparatuses. Ensuring DOT compliance during transportation is paramount. All apparatuses on the Series 12 prop are crafted to be easily stowed or folded down, facilitating convenient transportability. Equipped with a wheel system, maneuvering this prop around the parking lot or into a truck bay is effortless with just two people, thanks to its compact footprint.
Series 20
The Series 20 prop is an ideal choice for departments facing space constraints on-site while still requiring comprehensive training capabilities, including SCBA training. Combining all the features of the Series 12 with dedicated SCBA training elements, it offers a versatile solution for maximizing training effectiveness within limited spaces.
Series 40
The Series 40 prop is an excellent choice for departments prioritizing SCBA training. Building upon the capabilities of the Series 12 and 20, this prop offers additional features tailored for comprehensive SCBA training. With enhanced window and hatch training elements, alongside a spacious, reconfigurable area specifically designed for SCBA exercises, it delivers a comprehensive training experience.

Window Training
The window has a Denver Drill insert placed on barrel hinges for effortless removal. By swinging the insert over and securing it with pins, it can be easily positioned for the desired drill. The interior of the container has designated slots for holding lumber for the specifications of the Denver Drill.
Adjustable Pitch Roof
The adjustable pitch roof offers a variety of roof pitches, ranging from 8/12 to 0/12, the roof prop provides flexibility. Standardized with an 8′ wide aluminum receiver, it can be effortlessly adjusted by a single individual. This design enables straightforward adjustability and removal of 2″ x 6′ components. Additionally, there is an optional 12′ wide receiver available (refer to the photo) for added customization.
Forcible Entry Door
Forcible entry door system is equipped with both inner and outer swinging doors. Each forcible door includes wood inserts in the door jam to simulate realistic entry scenarios with swift resets. For an added challenge, extra 2″ x 2″ wood square dowels can be inserted to create a more difficult breach. The interior walls of the Prop are adjustable for the Denver Drill, which facilitates confined space breach training.
Roof Hatch
The Taylor’d Prop comes standard with a 30″ x 30″ roof hatch with a steel covering, providing a comfortable platform for individuals to stand on the roof. The hatch facilitates tripod work for each department and is compatible with larger tripods like the Arizona Vortex Multipod. Additionally, the roof hatch allows for ceiling ventilation training by simply sliding a sheet of OSB or sheetrock under it. To simulate a roof joist, a 2″ x 2″ square dowel can be installed.
Bailout Window
Situated on the second story, the bailout window is positioned at 11′ 6″ from the ground and has dimensions of 44″ x 36″. The window width and height can be compressed to simulate a smaller window using vertical and horizontal struts. Metal paneling enables minimal adjustment of extended ladders. The D-rings positioned above the window are rated for 5,000 lbs. for belaying.
Wall Breach Simulator
The container door can be opened, facilitating two lower and two upper catches for holding a framed wall built with 2″ x 4″. The wall catches have designated places to hold four sheets of OSB or sheetrock to simulate a building’s wall. Or simply just use OSB to practice garage door venting techniques.
Staircase Addition (Available on Series 12)
The staircase optional upgrade replaces the adjustable pitch roof with the aluminum staircase set. The staircase consists of nine pieces (upper, landing, lower, and six railing attachments), making this addition easy to move, install, and store. Detachable railings ensure straight forward assembly, and the lower section of the stairs can be used to aid trainees in accessing the roof prop.
